Translation requirements
The requirements for certified legal translations can be confusing to navigate! Let us break it down for you here:
				1.
For USCIS (immigration) in the United States, a certified translation contains a signed statement by the translator, often backed by an American Translators Association member number.
				2.
In the U.S., a “certified translation” that is not for immigration could mean a signed statement from a professional translator, or it could require a certified translator and/or notarization. Translators and translation companies work with these requirements on a daily basis and can help you understand what is needed, whether the translation is for a court case, a school, or a place of employment.
				3.
Outside the U.S., translation is generally more strictly regulated, requiring documents to be sealed by court-certified translators only. Our translators are court-certified in Mexico and use an advanced electronic signature that is globally accepted, saving you the hassle of notarization and further authentication procedures for your translation.
